This series is recommended for:
- All principals, vice principals, teacher leaders, and department heads
- Principals with schools teams who want to increase student learning and promote professional growth of all staff members
- Deanery grade-level teams who want to become a Professional Learning Communities (PLC)
Areas of Emphasis
- Developing a common language and concept system around curriculum, instruction, and assessment
- Building capacity to recognize and use best practice in teaching, learning, and leading
- Making assessment a learning experience for students and teachers
- Ensuring rigor, relevance, and relationships in the standards-based classrooms
- Supervising and teaching in classrooms where practice is aligned with the California Standards of the Teaching Profession (CSTP)
- Aligning instruction with the identified curriculum

- Using data to inform leadership and instructional practice
- Providing growth-producing feedback to teaching staff and students
